    Why teams pick WP MegaManager

    • AI Copilot diagnoses issues across your fleet and suggests fixes — ManageWP has no comparable AI features.
    • AI task automation runs repetitive WordPress chores (cache clearing on update, weekly cleanups, conditional alerts) on autopilot.
    • WooCommerce analytics aggregate sales, orders and conversion metrics across every WooCommerce store you manage.
    • Time-limited contractor access lets you grant temporary WP admin without sharing real passwords.
    • Independent, actively developed product — not a stagnated acquisition.
    • Modern UI built in 2026 — clean, fast, keyboard-friendly.
    • Site transfer moves a staging build onto the live site in a few clicks — no separate migration plugin, no manual find-and-replace on serialized data.
    • Client feedback lets reviewers click anywhere on a live or staging site to leave a comment pinned to that exact element — no login required.

    Where ManageWP is strong

    • Established brand since 2012 with proven reliability.
    • Large existing user base means familiarity for hand-overs.
    • Bundled with GoDaddy hosting accounts at no extra cost.

    Frequently asked questions

Is WP MegaManager a direct replacement for ManageWP?

WP MegaManager covers the core ManageWP workflows — bulk updates, backups, uptime, performance and team access — and adds an AI Copilot, plus AI task automation, WooCommerce analytics and temporary contractor access currently in public beta. Security scanning is on our roadmap. Migration is a matter of installing the MegaManager Connector plugin on each site and disconnecting the ManageWP Worker.

Can I migrate my ManageWP sites to WP MegaManager?

Yes. There is no data lock-in in either direction. You install the free MegaManager Connector plugin on each site, paste a connect token, and the site appears in your MegaManager dashboard. You can keep ManageWP Worker installed during the transition with no conflicts.

How does WP MegaManager pricing compare to ManageWP?

WP MegaManager has a free beta plan, then tiered plans for freelancers (Pro), agencies (Agency) and enterprises. ManageWP's premium add-ons (backups, uptime, security) are billed per site per month, which adds up fast for agencies. WP MegaManager includes most features at every tier. See our current pricing at /pricing.

    Is ManageWP still actively developed?

ManageWP has been owned by GoDaddy since 2016 and the pace of new features has slowed considerably. WP MegaManager ships updates every 1-2 weeks and publishes a public roadmap where users vote on priorities.

Does WP MegaManager support BYO backup storage like S3?

Yes. WP MegaManager backups go to any S3-compatible bucket you own — Backblaze B2, Wasabi, AWS S3, Cloudflare R2. You own the backups, you control retention, and you avoid vendor lock-in.

Can I move a staging site to live, or collect client feedback, in WP MegaManager?

Both, and neither is in ManageWP. Site transfer copies a staging build onto the live site — including a serialization-safe URL rewrite so page-builder layouts don't break — in a few clicks, currently in public beta. Client feedback lets a reviewer click anywhere on the site to leave a comment pinned to that element, no account required, also in beta.
