How It Works
WP MegaManager scans your connected sites for available updates via the companion plugin. You can review pending updates in a centralized dashboard, then apply them individually, per-site, or in bulk across all sites. Each update is executed securely via your WordPress installation.
Auto-Update Controls
Set per-plugin auto-update preferences for each site. Choose which plugins should update automatically and which require manual approval. Enable vulnerability-aware auto-updates to automatically patch plugins with known security issues while keeping stable plugins on manual.
Safe Update Workflow
For critical sites, enable pre-update backups that automatically create a restore point before applying updates. If something goes wrong, you can restore to the pre-update state with one click. Update logs track exactly what changed and when.
Multi-Site Efficiency
Managing 10, 50, or 100+ WordPress sites? Bulk updates turn hours of repetitive work into seconds. Filter sites by update type, apply updates across your entire portfolio, and get a summary of results — all from one dashboard.
Who it's for
Agencies patching 50+ client sites: push core, plugin, and theme updates across your entire portfolio in one pass instead of logging into each wp-admin separately.
Freelancers saving hours: replace the weekly chore of updating every site by hand with a single bulk action and a summary of what changed.
Security-conscious teams: enable vulnerability-aware auto-updates so plugins with known security issues get patched automatically while everything else stays on manual review.
Anyone scared of breaking updates: turn on pre-update backups and one-click rollback so you can update with confidence and undo a bad release in seconds.
Frequently asked questions
Can I roll back a bad update?
Yes. If you enabled a pre-update backup, WP MegaManager creates a restore point before applying updates, and you can roll back to that exact pre-update state with one click. Without a pre-update backup there is no automatic restore point, so we recommend keeping it on for critical sites.
Does it back up before updating?
Only if you turn on the pre-update backup option. When enabled, a restore point is created automatically before updates run, so you can revert if something goes wrong. It is optional because backups take time and storage, so you control which sites use it.
Can I auto-update only security releases?
Yes. Enable vulnerability-aware auto-updates to automatically patch plugins with known security issues while keeping stable plugins on manual approval. You can also set per-plugin auto-update toggles per site for finer control over exactly what updates on its own.
Can I update across many sites at once?
Yes. Bulk updates apply core, plugin, and theme updates across all your connected sites at once from a single dashboard. You can also filter by update type or apply updates per-site if you prefer to roll them out gradually.
What if an update breaks a site?
If you had a pre-update backup enabled, restore the pre-update point with one click to get back to a working state. Update logs record exactly what changed and when, so you can pinpoint which update caused the issue before retrying.
